First introduced in 1956, the Original Rain Boot lies at the heart of the brand.
Handcrafted using many intricate techniques, each pair is made from 28 parts and assembled over three days; a process that hasn’t changed significantly in over half a century. Follow the Original Tall from its origins here.
Est. 1856 American entrepreneur Henry Lee Norris founded Hunter, originally named The North British Rubber Company, on Scottish soil in 1856. In its history, Hunter has produced a range of high quality rubber products, from industrial items and sturdy rubber boots for British soldiers, to iconic rainwear and accessories.
Hunter holds two Royal Warrants of Appointment to HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh as suppliers of high quality waterproof footwear. Our boots have also been worn by a number of Royals over the last few decades, including Princess Diana in her engagement photos.
First seen on Kate Moss at Glastonbury, the UK's largest festival, our collection of rainwear continues to be chosen by famous faces – including Kendall Jenner, Alexa Chung and Bradley Cooper – bringing our unmistakable spirit to muddy fields and city streets across the globe.
While the boot remains at the heart of the collection, our new icons continue to be worn across festival fields, country lanes and city streets the world over, from rubber Chelsea boots to waterproof backpacks and lightweight summer jackets.
