The event marked Hunter’s commitment to Japan and the start of new projects, which include the recent launch of the Japanese website, hunterboots.jp, and the announcement of plans to open a flagship store in Tokyo in the future.
Hosted by Creative Director Alasdhair Willis, the event took place in a studio underneath the iconic Tokyo Tower, with an audience of over 500, including global press such as Vogue and Elle, and Japanese celebrities, wearing pieces from the Hunter Original collection.
Entering the studio space, guests were surrounded by 7.3m high screens in an immersive experience, bringing the audience into a world of Hunter. A 360° projection enveloped the space with scenes of falling rain and the Scottish Highlands together with footage from our London Fashion Week runway show in February, which framed the presentation in the centre.
The presentation featured the new Hunter Original autumn/winter 2015 runway collection, shown for the first time outside the UK since London Fashion Week. Models took to the centre of the space walking through water, wearing key pieces from the new collection, including the Original Wader High Heel, Original Faux Fur Overcoat and Original Quilted Bomber, along with Hunter icons – the Original Tall, Original Chelsea and Original Parka.
