For autumn/winter 2015, the new Hunter Original collection was unveiled with a runway show at London Fashion Week.

The collection presented a journey from the urban environment to the wilds of the Scottish Highlands. Reinterpreting the brand’s heritage for today, the collection drew on the spirit of young pioneers, equipping themselves for the changing landscape, as they escaped the city and headed for the rugged and romantic terrain of Hunter’s birthplace.

The show installation was representative of these two distant environments colliding. Acting as a framework for the show concept, the urban industrial space reappropriated the Scottish glens through the use of water to appeal to the senses both sonically and visually. Creating this were waterfalls, which cut through the runway, filling a pool at the centre of the show space.

Actress Salma Hayek, presenter Alexa Chung and actor Luke Evans were among the stars who took their seats on the front row in the London space, while music for the show was provided by artists Darkness Falls with the track ‘Dance and Cry’.

Taking inspiration from the land Hunter came from, the collection looked to physical environments and the elements. The colour palette reflected rocks and minerals, heathers and lichens, while textures built throughout the collection, were inspired by organic materials, geology and the layers beneath the Earth’s surface.
